THE ROHO GROUP WINS AMA MARKETING EXCELLENCE AWARD 2008
The ROHO Group, Inc., manufacturer of support surface products for medical and transportation applications, was recently awarded the Marketing Excellence Award 2008, in the non-profit category, by the St. Louis Chapter of the American Marketing Association.
The St. Louis Chapter of the AMA created the Marketing Excellence Award to recognize the importance and impact of marketing. The objective was to recognize companies that have embraced the marketing discipline.
The ROHO Group was presented this award in the non-profit category for their work done in 2007 in helping develop and market the Users First Alliance. Users First is a non-profit alliance of rehabilitation companies who aim to produce products that will meet the demands and expectations of the end user; all while maintaining a focus on quality and innovation.
“In the healthcare industry, changes to Medicare and Medicaid services have added a tremendous challenge to people with disabilities getting proper equipment supplied, serviced and funded,” said Melissa Keim, Vice President of Marketing for The ROHO Group. “They have had to “settle” for a certain type of brand of something. The Users First Alliance believes that end users should not have to sacrifice functional outcomes and performance when choosing their equipment.”
Through an aggressive marketing plan which included public relations, print advertising, eBlasts, training and education support, trade show presence and creative support, 220 industry partners/providers/other manufacturers asked to be involved in the Users First Alliance mission.
